NextGen Physical Education helps schools strengthen physical education by looking at the whole picture – the spaces in which they move, the equipment and resources available to them, the movement experiences students are offered, and how progress is measured. Our goal is to give every student the opportunity to develop the strength, skills, confidence, and physical literacy to stay active throughout life.
A Smarter Approach to Physical Education
- Assess
We start by understanding what already exists – facilities, equipment, curriculum, instruction, student opportunities, and measurable outcomes. The goal isn’t to replace what’s working, but to identify where thoughtful changes can have the greatest impact.
2. Design
We help schools create age-appropriate physical education experiences that develop a broad foundation of movement skills, physical fitness, confidence, and physical literacy – while making movement engaging and accessible to more students.
3. Equip
The environment matters. We evaluate how existing spaces and equipment are being used and help schools make practical improvements that create more opportunities to move, explore, practice, and progress.
4. Support
PE educators know their students, schools, and communities best. NextGen works alongside educators to provide additional resources, professional development, and practical tools that support their goals and expand opportunities for students to move, learn, and grow.
5. Measure
We help schools evaluate meaningful progress – not just athletic performance. Age-appropriate assessments can help identify strengths, reveal opportunities for growth, and provide useful information about how students are developing as capable, confident movers.
